Augmented reality
Augmented reality puts you in a completely different world. It combines reality with new elements. Augmented reality is different every time. This is because you can view and experience the subjects from all positions.
During this one, you will learn to build virtual worlds in 2D and 3D. Behind the computer, Chromebook or laptop, you and your group design a fantasy world. You choose which subjects and backgrounds should have a place in it. Think about placing buildings, people, animals, mountains, trees, etc. Then you can use a smartphome to experience your designed world for yourself. What do the chosen subjects really look like with this technique? During this special workshop, the children learn a lot about the practical workings of augmented reality.
Key objectives
Students learn to use media to communicate. This allows them to translate topics as they perceive them through a digital tool. They acquire some knowledge about, and gain an appreciation of, aspects of their living environment. Also, in an exploratory phase, they acquire knowledge about new techniques such as augmented reality. They also learn to deal with new media, such as tablets and iPads. Pupils learn to look differently at their environment, as well as improving their sensory perception. (core objectives 54 and 55)
