Workshop-Virtual Reality: where are you?
Virtual reality is booming and there are more and more applications for it. This workshop introduces participants to this phenomenon. Because children are not always sure what they see, there is a new workshop linking perception to virtual reality. The class is divided into small groups. Each group has VR glasses with a different virtual location. For example, you can walk into a haunted house or a prehistoric landscape. One student has VR glasses on and by moving around, new things come into view each time. He describes what he sees and the other pupils draw what is listed. That not everyone sees the same thing is because virtual reality changes as a person makes different movements. After this, someone else gets the glasses on and starts listing what he or she sees. The aim is to get as complete a picture as possible of this virtual world, without it actually being visible to the other participants.
