Workshop-Code the Robot
There is a cat in distress! Your help is needed to save the little animal. The only way to do that is to give a robot commands. Which way should it go: left, right, up or down? Drag the right arrows to the command bar on the tablet so that the robot ends up with the cat. Each level consists of a new challenge, allowing students to playfully learn how to programme the robot. Step by step, they discover the world of coding. Thinking logically and creating movements is the starting point of this fun workshop for lower secondary pupils.
Key objectives
Students learn to use computers to communicate. This allows them to translate topics as they perceive them through a digital tool. They acquire some knowledge about and appreciation of aspects of their environment. In addition, they acquire programming in an exploratory phase. They also learn to deal with new media, such as computers, tablets and iPads. Pupils learn to look differently at their environment, as well as improving their sensory perceptions. (core objectives 54 and 55)
